Kathmandu: Weather conditions across Nepal have started to improve as the recent rain-bearing system has weakened, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Nepal.

No More Prolonged Rain
Meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel said that the weather has significantly improved, with no likelihood of continuous rainfall like that experienced on Friday and earlier today.

Pre-Monsoon Pattern Continues
She noted that pre-monsoon activity will persist, bringing scattered showers in some areas on Sunday. Light rainfall is currently being observed in parts of eastern Nepal and is expected to gradually subside.

While the main rain system has moved away, a mix of sunny and cloudy conditions will continue, though heavy or prolonged rainfall is not expected immediately.

Rainfall Recorded in Several Districts
According to the department, light rain has been recorded in parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Madhesh provinces. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall was measured in:
-Palpa: 75.8 mm
-Rupandehi: 75.2 mm
-Morang: 63.8 mm
-Dhankuta: 63.2 mm
-Kapilvastu: 59.6 mm
Authorities say conditions are gradually stabilizing, offering relief after recent widespread rainfall.
